Community Baptist Church Ministry Committees

 We invite you to see what ministries we have here at CBC.

Church Education and Ministry Council

    Adult Ministry:

• To encourage and oversee the spiritual education of all our adults.  This includes Sunday School, Discipleship, and encouraging Christian fellowship.

    Youth Ministry:

• To encourage and oversee the spiritual education of all our youth. This includes Sunday School, Discipleship, and encouraging Christian fellowship.

    Children's Ministry:

• To coordinate all phases of our children’s ministry so that each area compliments and strengthens the other areas. This includes AWANA, Children’s Choir, Children’s Church, Children’s Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School.

    Nursery:

• To care for by organizing volunteers or hiring outside persons to care for the children of our congregation from 0 to 3 years and develop guidelines approved by staff and Deacons.

    Music Ministry:

• Responsible for the music ministry of the church. Coordinate dramas, musicals, special groups, etc.

• Responsible in assisting those who are grieving, ill, or in need of financial or materially.

    Missions & Evangelism:

• To oversee the mission activities of the church and to promote Mission Awareness to the body. This includes our Spanish Association.
  

Church Operation Council

    Nominating:

• Responsible for placing God called men and women into places of leadership based on their gifts, servant hearts, and commitment to Christ. They will bring before the church for approval all members of the major committees.

    Office:

• Responsible for maintaining the overall efficiency of the church office. 

    Personnel:

• Responsible for reviewing salaries and recommend raises. Research benefit packages, coordinate vacation schedules, and maintain personnel files.

    Finance & Budget:

• Responsible for the financial affairs of the church.

    Church Promotion:

• Responsible for the promotion of all church activities.

    Kitchen and Fellowship:

• Responsible for keeping the kitchen stocked, equipped, cleaned, and maintained. Coordinates all church wide functions.

    Building & Grounds:

• Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all church facilities and properties.

    Audio & Visual:

• Responsible for maintaining and improving the sound quality of our services and tapes. Provides audiovisual equipment as needed for church functions. Also responsible for maintaining the Church’s website and network.

    Ushers & Greeters:

• Responsible for greeting people on Sunday, helping visitors find their classes, handing out visitor cards, and taking up the offering. Ushers are responsible for keeping order during Bible Study and Worship.

    Gym & Activities:

• Responsible for the scheduled use and equipping of the gym, and outside facilities for all church activities.
